Roberts Story

Even at this time in his short life he had a smile that spanned from ear to ear and it is hard to find a photo without him smiling. He had no trouble in making friends and all his friends regarded him as leader and communicator, this seemed to start at a very early age and continued throughout his life and many admired him for this.

In his early days he attended pre school playgroups and then started his school life at Westwood farm infants and then juniors. During this time he also attended Beavers and then Cubs where he got many honors, but he did not appear to keen to join the scout movement. Later he attended Denefield School where he had so many friends and quite a rapport with some of the staff.

He was not a great academic throughout school but he was good average student with a zest for life, a bit of a charmer in many ways, never lost for words, always their to give a word of advice, and always prepared to put himself out to help others.

He loved his holidays in Europe even the camping ones. He made friends wherever he went be it in France, Spain or Italy, he would unite the family with the locals and make a holiday just that little bit better. Later on he got to like his times in
Florida where he also made friends and he was about to make his third visit to the states.

After leaving school he had a few jobs but his aim in life was to pass his driving test and get his car on the road. His instructor said he would pass without any problem, and now it is our aim to get his Nova on the road soon in a condition that he would have been proud of.

He had many friends but he had one special love Rachel, of whom he thought the world of and had so many plans for the future with, but these were never to come to fruition.
